GIRAFFE ANESTHESIA PLANNING (Webinar)
Anesthesia poses a series of unique challenges due to the size and physiology of giraffe. We review ways to mitigate anesthesia risks, select the immobilization space, prepare the team, drug protocols, repositioning, anesthesia monitoring, diagnostics and therapeutics, and patient recovery.
GIRAFFE EMERGENCY PLANNING & RESPONSE (Webinar)
Giraffe emergencies include slip and falls, entrapments, complications during anesthesia, and emergency procedures such as dystocia management. We review multiple giraffe emergency situations and potential solutions, and help teams practice, assemble emergency supplies, and partner with your local emergency responders.
GIRAFFE LAMENESS (Webinar)
Hoof overgrowth and associated limping are well described health issues for giraffe. This presentation describes common foot health issues, differences in foot health between zoo and wild giraffe, and diagnostic techniques including gait analysis, radiographs, and thermal imaging. Therapies that can help best manage and mitigate lameness in zoo giraffe are discussed.
GIRAFFE PREGNANCY & NEONATE CARE (Webinar)

THERMAL IMAGING FOR MEGAVERTEBRATES (Webinar)
Thermography is a non-invasive modality that can help localize areas of concern associated with arthritis, ligament injuries, and other conditions.
